The Official KuchuQwanzaa Flag

Like traditional Kwanzaa, Kuchu-Qwanzaa is observed from December 26th to January 1st each year, and features activities such as candle-lighting and pouring of libations, and culminating in a feast and gift giving.

Orange (Political ID) 7 Bold, Energetic, Power
Yellow (Creativity) 6 Happiness, sunshine, creativity
Green (Nature/Spirit) 1 Life, harmony, career
Blue (House) 3 Calm, tranquil, friendliness, communication with others
Indigo (Education) 4 Self-master, intuition
Violet (Entrepreneurship) 5 Good judgment, royalty
Colors of the LGBT Flag Meaning

We used some of the original meanings for the LGBT flag and applied these same meanings to some of the candles that burn each night as a part of KuchuQwanzaa

hot pink: sexuality

red: life
orange: healing
yellow: sunlight
green: nature
turquoise: magic/art
indigo: serenity/harmony
violet: spirit
